Mail & Packages in Thailand
Sending & Receiving Mail & Packages in Thailand
In this section, we want to talk about the options you have for sending mail home and anywhere else, as well as receiving mail while in Thailand. Whether it be sending letters, packages, or souvenirs to your friends and loved ones, or someone from home who wants to send you a care package, we will help you feel confident about staying connected by sending and receiving mail while in Thailand.
The Post Office
The Thailand Post will be the main post office that you will be utilizing while in Thailand. Luckily, there is a Thailand Post office on campus for students to use.

Addressing Mail
Note: The following instructions are for students on the Semester in Thailand at Mahidol University program. For those students staying in Thailand for short programs or travelling programs, such as the Vet Science Semester in Thailand, we do not recommend receiving any mail due to the nature of postal delays abroad.
Always put your phone number or Bundit's phone number on the package. There are two reasons for this; customs charges tax on many packages imported into Thailand and you may need to pay that before they can deliver, and delivery services are not always able to find addresses so they may call the phone number listed.
In order to address mail, use the following format:
Mr. / Ms. …………………………
C/O Ms. Sarinya Saihom
Student Exchange Officer
Student Exchange Office
Mahidol University International College
999 Buddhamonthon 4 Rd., Salaya Campus
Nakhon Prathom 73170 Thailand
or
Your Name
Your room number
Bundit House
58,58/4 Moo 4
Salaya
Buddhamonthon
Nakhon Prathom
73170
If you can, printing the address in English and Thai will be helpful.
For mail going back home from Thailand, once you have properly addressed your mail, you will want to ensure that it has the correct postage needed to send it. Stamps are sold at the Thailand Post offices. Before sending your mail, ensure that you check the guidelines of what can and cannot be sent via mail on the Thailand Post website.
